Guess what that time is…..

That’s right!

It is NaNoWriMo!!! And I am already over three thousand words strong into my novel. And later today, I will put up my first posting of the day’s words properly. I will do this every day to keep myself motivated and accountable. Just….dodon’t expect it to make that much sense. This is a first manuscript after all.

And here is a video of Matt’s from Bandgeek8408. It is an oldie but a goodie. And it motivates me to keep going when I don’t want to. HOw about you? Anyone participating this year? And if you are, what are some motivations you have to get started? What is your word count so far? And if you don’t participate in NaNo, what is a major goal that you would like to meet?

Update. Again.

Well, I did it again. I jumped projects during my Camp Nanowrimo month. Again. And I had just tackled it in a major way.

Let me set the stage. I have gotten interested in a series from Josh Scorcher, really two of them. Both of the series are really good, by the way. They both are D&D campaigns and both the stories and the characters in them are really interesting. And it is so much fun listening to the interplay between the people as they play out the games. And I have some real favorite characters in each of them.

I won’t give away any spoilers. But I was playing with the idea of novelizing one of the streams for a few installations for a week or so now. My other projects suffered because of it. But then something happened in one of the installations that pushed me to a real drive. I had a real fire under me today and had written/edited for the last several hours to get this segment right. I admit that I worry that this event, which I admit was devastatingly sad, got me to get so focused on this is really troubling.┬áBut I’ll admit that one of the first rules of writing is that if it makes you feel the emotions you are trying to write, then your readers will feel them too.

Of course, that might also be because of the wonderful roleplaying ability of the various players who are portraying the characters.

Here is a link to that one.

Here is the link for the start of the other campaign, which is wonderful.

So anyway, This is what I have to report. I am working on a new project, but I won’t completely shelf the others. Even though one I gave away, and regretted afterward since I really don’t care for it when I looked at it afterward. Still, he said it was interesting, so I take hope that he had at least been slightly amused by it.

And until I see you again, take care, and keep creating!

A nanowrimo post

Day 16, and I currently am 35,000 words strong, give or take ten. I also have at least one fanfiction idea, and started a fanfiction for the turtles, that is an additional 2,500 words. November is becoming my favorite month of the year, for I feel free to write and create, without excuse. I have ideas for other books, lots of other books, and I’m going to spend some of the last half of the month outlining them, both fiction, christian non-fiction and christian fiction!

Also, this happens to be my very first post for this blog. I didn’t want to start it with the obligatory Hello Internet, I’m Blank. But I have no problem acknowledging the fact, at the end. Hello Internet, I’m the ink splattered writer. Cowabunga, Dude!
